Laxmi Pratisthan organized Eye camp in Anekot VDC, Kavre in co-ordination with Tilganga Eye Foundation and local Health Post on 2067/05/05 (21st August, 2010). The program was a success with 615 people getting eye treatment. The required people were also provided with their proper eye glasses. Among them 14 people are recommended for their cataract surgery which will take place on 13th Asoj. The surgery will be free of cost for them. The Eye Camp was carried out at local school Bhakram Devi Secondary School. There were 20 student volunteers from the school. There were also 9 member volunteers representing Standard Chartered Bank. The medical team comprised of 6 staffs from Tilganga Eye Foundation. The program started at 9 a.m. and lasted till 3 p.m. Considering the demand of another Eye Camp, Laxmi Pratisthan will organize such Eye Camp in the further remote part of Anekot VDC of Kavre district.

The presence of the people was encouraging. This has encouraged Laxmi Pratisthan to carry out such help camps in other localities in the near future.
